National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB) is a commercial Parastatal that trades commercially in grains and other agricultural commodities and provides grain post-harvest services which include premier warehousing. We are a customer-centric organisation that strives to provide quality products and services that meet the expectations of our customers. The Board’s objective is to be more efficient in service delivery and we believe this will be made possible by automation of all our operations and business processes to boost transparency and enhance productivity as guided by our core values. To this end, our ICT upgrade is and will be the main driver of our business efficiency. In addition, we are modernizing our infrastructure and grain handling facilities to make them more efficient and to improve on their turn around time in service delivery.

We envisage to be a premier warehousing organization and a leader in trading in agricultural commodities and offering of quality post-harvest services. In this regard, we have embarked on an operations and business enterprise re-engineering by adopting business models that are farmer-centric. To align all our operations to the reforms and to accommodate our expanded and clarified Corporate Profile3mandate, the Board is currently carrying out a human capital restructuring so as to become performance based, results oriented and to infuse required skills in readiness to effectively carry on our mandate. The Board is currently undergoing reforms to make it more responsive to the changing grain market situation, national food security dynamics and to be more efficient in service delivery. In this regard, NCPB is being structured to have within it; NCPB Trading Division, National Food Reserve Division and the Food Balance Sheet. The Board will also operate agricultural business hubs within its depots.
