Corporate Social Responsibility

The Board runs a Corporate Social responsibility (CSR) program that is aimed at reaching out to the needy in the society and enhancing goodwill with its stakeholders.

Market Place Pillar

The Board shall uphold consumer rights, good customer relations, promote responsible marketing and advertising and ensure there is effective customer feedback mechanism. It shall safeguard confidential customer data and ensure timely, accurate and honest reporting and abide by the accepted accounting principles and reporting procedures.

Workplace Pillar

The Board is committed to providing a motivational, fulfilling and good work environment that, attracts and retains high quality talent. In this regard it shall endeavour to put in place the necessary guidelines covering various aspects of human resource management practice.

Community Pillar

The Board shall engage with local communities where it operates and informs them of issues which might affect them as appropriate and ensure that initiatives that benefit communities are implemented and key stakeholders are integrated into its activities.

The Board’s CSR will concentrate on the following areas:

Food donation to charitable institutions, tree planting, environmental clean-ups, participation in HIV awareness and in other wellness campaigns, educational related programmes and sponsorship of Sports Activities

Environmental Pillar

The Board recognizes its corporate responsibilities towards the environment by ensuring that possible adverse effects on the environment from its activities are prevented or minimized. The Board will also strive to promote clean and green energy.

 

Stakeholder Engagement Pillar

The Board is committed to engaging and listening to its stakeholders and addressing their concerns and designing appropriate approaches to solving problems emanating from issues that may arise.

NCPB PARTICIPATES IN THE 2022 MATER HEART RUN NCPB joined many Kenyans and other corporates who turned out in large numbers to participate in the 10 KM Mater Heart run which was held on the 11th June 2022 and whose theme was: ‘Touch a child’s Heart’. It was flagged off from the Kenyatta Convention Center. The run is an annual event and is marked to raise funds in support of heart surgeries for needy Children born with heart conditions. The Run is part of NCPB Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR ) initiatives.
